1994. REM release Monster—an astounding and rougher-than-expected work heavily in tune with the scene of the day, which opens with the strong theme of “What’s The Frequency, Kenneth”. Although it’s quite long, this article is fascinating—not only because the song makes sense, but also because it’s such an unusual story.
